LASH License vs Certification:
Both the certification and licensing programs provide all necessary materials, including a complete kit and curriculum. The key difference between the two is that the licensing program includes an online course on business management, offering you the tools to start and manage your own lash business—a feature not included in the certification class, though it can be purchased separately.
The Lash Certification is a comprehensive three-day course designed to equip you with foundational knowledge and skills in eyelash extensions, including an introduction to the more advanced technique of Volume Lashes.
This beginner's class covers essential topics such as theory, application techniques, troubleshooting, and more, ensuring you have a solid understanding of lashing. The course fee is $1,500, payable in full on the first day, and classes can be scheduled flexibly from Monday to Saturday to accommodate your needs.
An Advanced Certification class is offered for students that want to learn Russian Volume, Flower Bouquet, Layering and Wispy lashes, Facial Measuring and Mega Volume techniques $1,500 and $1,200 for students that have taken our Becoming a Lash Artist Beginning course.
In Texas, a Lash License is required to legally provide lash services. Individuals often pursue lash certification for two main reasons:
1. They already hold a cosmetology or esthetician license and wish to expand their skillset.
2. They are exploring the field of lash extensions and prefer to start with a certification before committing to a full licensing program.
The Lash Licensing Program, on the other hand, is an 4-8 week state-accredited course that qualifies you to legally practice lashing in Texas, either from home or in a salon. The program costs $4,500 for a 4 week program and $6,000 for the 8 week, which must be paid in full before you can sit for the state exam.
In Texas, an esthetician licensing program is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge needed to become licensed skin care professionals.
The program typically requires a minimum of 750 credit hours of training, which can be completed WITHIN 14 WEEKS!
Students will learn a wide range of techniques and procedures, including skin care treatments, facials, hair removal, and more.
Upon completion, students must pass both a written and practical exam administered by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) to receive their license.
Learn FACIALS, PEELS, LASHES, MAKE UP, WAXING and BUSINESS FOUNDATIONS.
In Texas, individuals who want to work as nail technicians must obtain a Manicurist License from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR). To qualify, applicants must complete 600 hours of training from a licensed cosmetology school or a licensed dual barber and beauty school. After completing the required education, they must pass written and practical licensing exams.
Additional requirements include being at least 17 years old, having a high school diploma or equivalent (or being enrolled in a program), and submitting an application with the necessary fee. Once licensed, nail technicians must renew their license every two years and complete 4 hours of continuing education for renewal.
Unlicensed practice is illegal and subject to penalties.
